University Bridge Club announces results of its April 26 meeting. Hosts were Ruth Harwood, Bebe Huxtable, Willie Stoltenberg and Isabelle Schaake. Blue winners were Donna Gatts, first; Dale Kring, second; Gini Wigington, third; Walt Hicks, fourth; and Ruth Harwood, fifth. Pink winners were Bebe Huxtable, first; Cathy Waller, second; Carolyn Jordan, third; Wanda Kring, fourth; and Darlene Schneider, fifth.

¢The Betty Washington Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution met April 19 at Lawrence Presbyterian Manor. The President General’s message was read and reports were given by members. After the meeting, members went to the Kansas University Campanile for a tour. The next meeting will be 10 a.m. May 17 at Almavar for a spring luncheon. ¢The Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club’s game on April 23 was directed by Chris Lane. The North-South winners were Wanda Durbin and Suzanne Wassmer, with Harry Shaffer and Ed Howard placing second. Clarice Broz and Marilyn Martin placed third in A and Bobby Patton and Adelaide Nyquist were third in B.

The East-West winners were David Piro and Paul Heitzman. Shari Krentzel and Nita Scales were second, with Sally Taylor and Mona Bell placing third in A. Wanna Roszel and Bebe Huxtable were second in C.

¢The Thursday Morning Mentor game on April 24 was played with an individual movement and was directed by Chris Lane. The winners were Ann Thompson, first; Earle Core, second; Julia Brooks, third; Virginia Seaver, fourth; and Chris Lane tied for fifth place with Pat Lechtenberg.

¢The Friday Afternoon Bridge Club’s game on April 25 utilized a Howell movement and was directed by Virginia Seaver. Gladys Baim and Marilyn Martin were first, with Harry Shaffer and Grant Sutton placing second. Lois Clark and Eldon Herd were third. Jeane Landry and Virginia Seaver placed fourth. Shirley Reese and Sally Taylor were fifth in A, with Betty Collier and Virginia Eddy placing second in B.

¢The Monday Evening Bridge Club’s game on April 28 was directed by Virginia Seaver. The North-South players were led by David Piro and Brian Barrett, with Mary Fenlon and Janice Hollowell placing second. Chris Lane and Shirley Reese were third. Jeane Landry and Marilyn Stewart placed fourth, and Clyde Romer and Peter Petillo were second in B.

The East-West players were led by John Fittell and Ed Howard, with Terry Tolar and Lynn Hui placing second. David Leitch and Steve Vossler were third. Klee Zaricky and Virginia Seaver placed fourth, and Lois Clark and Craig Huneke were fifth.
