Chamber seeks public input in CEO search

The Lawrence Chamber of Commerce is turning to its members and the public for help devising a candidate profile for the organization’s next president and chief executive officer.

Officials from Waverly Partners, an executive search firm hired by the chamber to help find a replacement for departed President and CEO Lavern Squier, intend to conduct hour-long input sessions Thursday and Friday.

The sessions will give people a chance to offer their thoughts on what role the chamber’s chief executive ought to have, and what the chamber needs to be successful.

Debbie Galbraith, a Waverly consultant working on the search, is a Lawrence resident.

People interested in participating in a development session may contact the chamber at 865-4411.
