KU golfers move up three spots to 11th

? Freshmen Brad Hopfinger and Nate Barbee fired a pair of 68s to lead the Kansas University men’s golf team during the second round of the Ron Moore Invitational.

The team moved up three spots to 11th place after shooting a second-round 285.

Hopfinger’s 68 marks the second best round of his career and his second under-par round of the event. He is five-under and tied for 10th place.

Barbee’s 68 also marks the second best round of his career. He is tied for 15th place with a total of 140.

Junior Zach Pederson shot 74 and is tied for 57th place. Junior Walt Koelbel carded a 75 and is tied for 59th place, and junior Brandon Hermreck shot 79 and is tied for 73rd.

The final round will be played today.
