The Kansas Department of Transportation will close northbound and southbound lanes on Interstate 35 today and Friday in Johnson County for a restriping project.

Lanes from 151st Street to Santa Fe Drive will be closed. Work will be completed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days on alternate lanes.

The left and center northbound and southbound lanes will be closed first. Then the right lane will be closed until the project is complete.

The department advised motorists to use alternate routes.
