A pickup truck went out of control early this morning and crashed into an apartment building in the 4600 block of West Sixth Street, according to the Lawrence Police Department.

No one was injured.

At 6:40 a.m. a 29-year-old Lawrence man was driving the truck eastbound behind businesses in the shopping center at Sixth and Wakarusa Drive when it went over a curb into a drainage ditch. The truck bounced back over a curb and into the building at Westgate Apartments, police said. There was a man in the apartment but he was not hurt.

Police say alcohol doesn’t appear to be a factor in the incident and officers are still investigating.
