From the Lawrence Daily World for March 17, 1908: “Prof. W.C. Abbott of the University of Kansas has been elected to a full professorship in history at Yale. He will complete his work at KU this academic year and leave for Yale in September. He is rated as one of the nation’s foremost experts on European history. : Baldwin is entertaining the South Kansas Conference of the Methodist Church this week. If Methodist preachers can be made to feel at home anywhere, they ought to be at Baldwin. Most of them were ‘made’ there.”
