Last Call shooter pleads guilty

Carlos Jerome Jackson, the man charged in the Feb. 10 shooting outside former downtown Lawrence nightclub Last Call, pleads guilty today to three counts of aggravated battery.

Jackson said in court that he did not intend to hurt anyone — that he left the club mad and fired the gun with the intention of scaring people.

“I didn’t mean for it to happen. I take full responsibility for my actions,” Jackson said.

Jackson will be sentenced April 11. He could face up to 10 years in prison.
