University Bridge Club announces results of its March 1 meeting. Hosts were John and Jane Golden. Blue Winners were Alice Akin, first; Marc Kuepker, second; Tom Waller, third; Mary Kanous, fourth; and John Golden, fifth. Pink Winners were Donna Gatts, first; Florence McNicoll, second; Carolyn Harden, third; Cora Kuepker, fourth; and Jane Golden, fifth.

The Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club’s game Feb. 27 was directed by Chris Lane. The North-South players were led by Klee Zaricky and Mona Bell at first in A and B, with Catherine Blumenfeld and Grant Sutton second in A and B, but first in C. Jack Flickinger and Arkie Vaughn were third in A.

The East-West players were led by John Fittell and Adelaide Nyquist at first in A, B and C, with Marilyn Martin and Clarice Broz placing second in A and B. Lois Clark and Eldon Herd placed third in A.

The Thursday Morning Mentor Bridge Club’s game on Feb. 28 utilized an individual Howell movement and was directed by Chris Lane. The players were led by Shirley Reese, with Virginia Seaver placing second. Arkie Vaughn placed third in A and first in B. Jack Flickinger and Barbara Figgins tied for second in B.

The Friday Afternoon Bridge Club’s game on Feb. 29 was directed by Virginia Seaver. The North-South players were led by Clyde Romer and Kent McCullough, with Grant Sutton and Catherine Blumenfeld placing second in A and first in B and C. Lester Dalton and Mary Fenlon placed third in A. Chris Lane and Virginia Seaver were fourth in A. Don Daugherty and Harry Talley placed second in B and C.

The East-West players were led by Debbi Bettinger and Shari Krentzel at first in A, B and C, with by Shirley Reese and Carol Ball placing second in A and B. Jolene Andersen and Adelaide Nyquist were third in A and B, but second in C. Emily Foster and Bob Dailey placed fourth in A.

The Monday Evening Bridge Club’s game on March 3 was directed by Jeff Nash. Clyde Romer and Jeff Nash placed first in A and B, with John Fittell and Adelaide Nyquist placing second in A. Jeane Landry and Lynn Hui placed third in A.

The East-West players were led by Carl Mibeck and Jack Mibeck at first in A and B, with Julia Dalton and Mary Fenlon placing second in A. Paul Heitzman and Donna Johnson were third in A, with Pat Musick and Jolene Andersen placing second in B.
