Padres’ ace solid on eve of birth

Chris Young hardly labored in his first spring training outing. The All-Star ace will leave that part to his wife.

Young pitched two innings Monday, and the San Diego Padres beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 12-4, in Phoenix.

His wife, Liz, was to be induced into labor today with the couple’s first child.
