Chiefs bolster LB corps

? The Kansas City Chiefs signed free-agent linebacker Demorrio Williams to a five-year contract Monday, a move that could knock Napoleon Harris out of the starting lineup.

Williams, 27, played four seasons with the Falcons, starting the past three at outside linebacker. He was a fourth-round draft pick out of Nebraska.

He started every game last season and recorded 78 tackles and two interceptions.

Kansas City signed linebackers Donnie Edwards and Harris before last season, and the group, which also contains Derrick Johnson, combined for 338 tackles and 71â2 sacks.

Although Harris led the team with 123 tackles, the Chiefs were disappointed at times with him. Kansas City also has concerns about Edwards’ age since he turns 35 in April.
