Workshops will promote severe weather safety

Douglas County Emergency Management and the National Weather Service in Topeka will offer four severe weather workshops in the county in the next month.

The workshops will be:

¢ 7 p.m. Thursday at the Eudora Community Center, 1638 Elm St.

¢ 7 p.m. March 20 at the Lawrence Arts Center, 940 N.H.

¢ 7 p.m. March 27 at Baldwin Intermediate School 100 Bullpup Drive along U.S. Highway 56.

¢ 7 p.m. April 3, at Lecompton City Hall, 327 Elmore St.

The free and public workshops will promote severe weather safety and provide information on topics such as severe thunderstorm development and severe weather safety.

All-hazard radios with on-site programming will be available to purchase.
