Mark and Karen Overstreet, Nixa, Mo., announce the birth of their daughter Nora Cedar Overstreet, born Feb. 11 in Springfield, Mo. Nora’s maternal grandparents are Calvin and Shirley Spencer, Lawrence.

¢Chad and Stephanie Richardson, Lawrence, announce the birth of their son, Jeffrey Ryan Richardson, born Feb. 7 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Jeffrey was welcomed by brother, David Glauner, 11; and sisters, Kay Lee Richardson, 3, and Alyssa Richardson, 2.

Jeffrey’s maternal grandparents are Joyce Tallman, Lawrence, and Larry and Nancy Tallman, Park City, Utah. His paternal grandparents are Diane Richardson, Lena, Ill., and the late Gary Richardson. His great-grandparents are Coral Sheppard, Lawrence; Ralph and Marlys Kingsbury, Fort Dodge, Iowa; Viola Zeran, Waterloo, Iowa; and Donald and Lucille Tallman, Momence, Ill.

¢Todd and Stacy Rodgers, Pittsburgh, announce the birth of their son, Willem Paul Rodgers, born Feb. 10 at Magee-Womens Hospital at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh.

Willem’s maternal grandparents are Dan and Ann Heptig, Lawrence. His paternal grandparents are Dennis and Shelley Rodgers, Russell, Pa., and Paula and Rick Hernan, Warren, Pa. His great-grandparents are Paul and Betty Dickerson, Warren, Pa.

¢Tess Ludwick, Lawrence, has been recognized by the American Angus Association for having two registered Angus cows included in the association’s 2008 Pathfinder Report.

¢The 2007-08 class of Capitol Federal Savings Scholars at Emporia State University’s School of Business were honored at a banquet recently at the university.

The scholarship is for business students from Kansas hometowns who maintain at least a 3.25 grade-point average. Area students who were honored include Brenda Hughes, Wellsville, who is pursuing a Master of Business Administration; Beau Bemis, Ottawa, a senior; and Olson Kilmer, Lawrence, a freshman.

¢The University of Nebraska-Lincoln announces its Deans’ List and Honor Roll for the fall 2007 semester. Area students named to the list include Donna Lounsbury, Eudora; and Nicholas Burkart, Marthe McDonald and Ryan Bodensteiner, all of Lawrence. Bodensteiner had a 4.0 grade-point average for the semester.

¢Elisabeth Drake-Studstill, Lawrence, was named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2007 semester at Boston University.
