Five from J-W area KSCA all-state picks

Five area athletes earned first-team berths on all-state teams selected by the Kansas Softball Coaches Association.

In Class 4A, the first-team picks were Ottawa catcher Jamie Voights, Eudora outfielder Mackenzie Salzman and Tonganoxie outfielder Lauren Himpel.

Four others gained 4A second-team slots – Ottawa outfielder Hallie Ray, Eudora catcher Evan Folks, Baldwin infielder Alex Zordel and Tonganoxie utility player Lindsey Himpel.

In Class 3A, McLouth pitcher Lezley Lawson and Bulldogs’ catcher Kendall Patterson were first-team selections.
