Douglas County Amateur Radio Club’s annual Field Day will be from noon Saturday to noon Sunday at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds.

In Buildings 1 and 2, the American Radio Relay League sponsored event will test operator’s abilities to set up portable stations under emergency conditions.

During the Field Day, operators also try to contact as many other operators across the country and Canada as possible. There are more than 670,000 amateur radio operators in the country and 2.5 million worldwide.
