Buying men’s underwear, in brief
Maybe it’s OK to buy your man some underwear.
Jockey International Inc. quizzed men on their unmentionables, and in return they gathered statistics that they find favorable to mention. Among them:
When asked the true age of their underwear, 24 percent men admit owning pairs that are three to four years old; 13 percent have some that are between five and nine years old; and 11 percent have underwear that, gasp, have been in use for a decade or more.
Other unmentionable facts we’ll mention:
¢ 15 percent of the men surveyed admitted that they are holding on to old underwear even though it no longer fits.
¢ 30 percent said their underwear has lost elasticity.
¢ 36 percent said theirs is not in its original color.
