Iowa Street is set to go under construction early next week as crews begin milling the road from 23rd to 31st streets.

The repaving will last for 45 days, and crews will be working through traffic.

“Drivers can expect delays, congestion and slow-moving traffic,” Director of Public Works Chuck Soules said.

The T will be rerouted, detours will be posted, and access to Iowa from side streets and businesses will be restricted.

The construction is scheduled to be completed by early August.
