KU’s Powers ousted in Public Links event

Kansas junior-to-be Emily Powers was knocked out of the US Women's Amateur Public Links Tournament this afternoon in Erin, Wisconsin.

Erin, Wis. — Kansas University women's golfer Emily Powers reached the round of 16 before bowing out at the United States Women's Amateur Public Links tournament on Thursday.

Powers, a junior-to-be at KU, dropped a closely-contested match, 3-and-2, against fourth-seeded Lauren Doughtie of Suffolk, Va., on Thursday afternoon.
