Phenix U-18 Champs: Lawrence Phenix U-18 won the Clay Center Invitational fast-pitch tournament last weekend. Kristen Bell paced Phenix with eight hits, including a home run. Hannah Somers also homered. Jordan Kruse and Taylor Simmons were the pitchers. ¢ LHS Soccer Camp: The Lawrence High program will conduct a youth camp for athletes K-8 July 14 through July 16 at Holcom.

The camp, which will run from 10 to 11:30 a.m. for K-5 and 10 a.m. to noon for 6-8, will focus on the fundamentals of the game. The cost is $35 for fifth grade and younger and $40 for grades six through eight.
