— The Kansas attorney general's office says a man suspected of killing a Kansas college student who led a secret life as an Internet porn model is appealing his extradition from Mexico.

Ashley Anstaett, spokeswoman for the Kansas attorney general's office, says a higher court in Mexico will now review the case against Israel Mireles. That could take an additional three to four months.

Mireles was arrested in December at a relative's home in Melchor Muzquiz, Mexico. He has been held pending extradition.

Mireles is charged with capital murder, rape and aggravated criminal sodomy in the death of 18-year-old Emily Sander. She was last seen alive Nov. 23 leaving a bar with a man police identified as Mireles.

The disappearance of the Butler Community College student drew nationwide attention after the discovery that she also was an Internet pornography model named Zoey Zane.

"This is the LJW trading sensationalism for integrity."I wouldn't say they traded. They seem to default to sensationalism.Seriously though, the guy needs to be brought back and put to sleep.

He also wasn't wanted for the death of a college coed/internet porn model. Apparently illegal immigration is a far cry from capital murder.

Was it really necessary to describe the young lady as a porn model?

This is absolutely disgusting. "Porn model?" A teenage girl is dead. Posing for naked pictures on the internet is absolutely irrelevant. Instead, we have a headline and story that attempts to completely negate her as a human being -- she's no longer a person, she's a porn model. This is the LJW trading sensationalism for integrity, demonizing female sexuality, and stopping one small step away from "She had it coming." Shameful.

I completely agree with genius! It is crap to devalue her life in this manner in order to have a headline. Shame on LJW
