Los Angeles ? Timon Marshall scored on a 3-yard run with 34 seconds left to give the Los Angeles Avengers a 51-48 victory over the Kansas City Brigade on Saturday in the Arena Football League.

Kansas City had a chance to force overtime, but Peter Martinez’s 31-yard field goal attempt sailed wide left as time expired.

Sonny Cumbie was 22-of 36 for 270 yards and four TDs for the Avengers (5-10). Marshall had eight catches for 96 yards and a score, and LaShaun Ward added six receptions for 100 yards and a score, and Kevin Ingram has seven catches for 45 yards and two touchdowns.

Quincy Carter threw four TD passes and ran for another for the Brigade (3-12).
