Kansas University golfer Emily Powers has qualified for the U.S. Women’s Open. A junior from Quincy, Ill., Powers played her way into the event through the sectional tournament at Knollwood Country Club in Bloomfield, Mich.

The U.S. Womens’ Open, in which Powers will compete as an amateur, will run June 26-29 in Edina, Minn.
