A freshly-paved Massachusetts Street reopened to traffic from Sixth to Eighth Street late Thursday morning, a city spokeswoman said.

Contractors are repaving Massachusetts Street from Sixth Street to North Park Street. Massachusetts Street is being closed in two block sections during the project.

Beginning Monday, June 16, crews will close Massachusetts Street from Tenth Street to North Park Street to apply pavement. Massachusetts Street is scheduled to be closed from Eighth Street to Tenth Street, starting June 23, but rain could delay the process.
