Fireworks show to be at new location
The Lawrence Jaycees’ annual Fourth of July fireworks show will move to Sesquicentennial Point, which is at the north end of the Clinton Dam, north of the spillway.
The event was changed from Burcham Park because of concerns about overcrowding and safety, organizers said.
Gates will open at 8 p.m., and the fireworks show will start at 10 p.m. It is expected to last 30 to 45 minutes.
