Salt Lake City ? Kansas City goalie Kevin Hartman made seven saves, and the Wizards survived a flurry of Real Salt Lake scoring opportunities in a 0-0 tie on Saturday night. The Wizards nearly won it as the game entered stoppage time, but Real Salt Lake’s Nick Rimando dove to his left to push away a blast by Kerry Zavagnin.
Kansas City (3-4-3) was playing its sixth straight road game since a scoreless tie against Houston on April 12. The Wizards were 0-3-1 in their last four games.
Kansas City had its best scoring chance early, when Davy Arnaud ripped a shot off the crossbar from about 18 yards out.
