Wizards play 0-0 tie

June 8, 2008

— Kansas City goalie Kevin Hartman made seven saves, and the Wizards survived a flurry of Real Salt Lake scoring opportunities in a 0-0 tie on Saturday night. The Wizards nearly won it as the game entered stoppage time, but Real Salt Lake's Nick Rimando dove to his left to push away a blast by Kerry Zavagnin.

Kansas City (3-4-3) was playing its sixth straight road game since a scoreless tie against Houston on April 12. The Wizards were 0-3-1 in their last four games.

Kansas City had its best scoring chance early, when Davy Arnaud ripped a shot off the crossbar from about 18 yards out.
