Former Jayhawks tested at draft camp

There were no major surprises involving the official measurements of Kansas University basketball players at last week's NBA pre-draft camp in Orlando, Fla.

Darrell Arthur, who was listed 6-foot-9, 225, wearing shoes at KU, checked in at 6-81â2, 216 with shoes in Orlando, according to draftexpress.com. He lifted the 185-pound bar 12 times and had a 30-inch vertical.

Other KU players and their measurements: Darnell Jackson, 6-73â4, 241 pounds, lifted bar 11 times, 31 vertical; Sasha Kaun, 6-103â4, 247 pounds, lifted bar 13 times, 32 vertical; Russell Robinson, 6-11â2, 196 pounds, lifted bar eight times, 31.5 vertical.

Who would have thought that Darrell Arthur would test out worst on vertical leap

Vertical leap is measured as the difference between a player's reach while standing still versus at the apex of their jump, so height is completely irrelevant. I agree that it's very surprising that Kaun has the highest vertical, however.

Sasha also has three inches on all of the other boys. It should almost be more than 32 inches...No matter what, Sasha will get to play for pay somewhere.
