Scaled-back summer vacation plans may save families some money, but not necessarily any sanity, if the kids are already getting bored and cranky in front of the television.
Here are some Lawrence and area events coming up this summer for when it's time for everyone to get out of the house. While most events are free, you'll still find the price is right.
Events are sorted by category, price, age, keywords and date. Once you've found the event for you, sign up for reminders via e-mail or text message using your LJWorld.com account.
And if you have an event of your own you think we should include in our calendar, please contact us.

So does this mean there's no family fun to be had in Lawrence?
LJ World, there have been several times since I moved here from out of state that I found out about a fun family event…only AFTER it had taken place. Now I click on a family fun guide and it's blank!
ARGH! Get your act together about local event announcements! There are people who need and appreciate this information. Thank you.
