San Francisco – Mark Reynolds hit a three-run homer, Conor Jackson and Chad Tracy also connected, and Arizona gave Dan Haren plenty of early offense.

Rockies 7, Reds 2

Cincinnati – Brad Hawpe hit a two-run homer, and Aaron Cook went eight solid innings as Colorado won for the seventh time in eight games. Jeff Baker added a solo homer, Willy Taveras had three hits and three stolen bases, and every Colorado starter had at least one hit as the Rockies snapped a four-game road losing streak.

Dodgers 3, Nationals 2

Los Angeles – Chad Billingsley took a three-hitter into the eighth inning, and Nomar Garciaparra singled home the tying and go-ahead runs. Billingsley (10-9) allowed two runs and five hits over 72â3 innings and struck out four.

Mets 7, Cardinals 2

New York – Mike Pelfrey won his seventh consecutive decision, and Carlos Delgado homered again, leading New York past St. Louis. Jose Reyes added a two-run triple, and Endy Chavez had four hits for the surging Mets, who have won 14 of 17.

Marlins 3, Cubs 2

Chicago – Jeremy Hermida hit a pinch-hit home run to lead off the ninth inning to help Florida defeat Chicago.

Padres 6, Pirates 5

Pittsburgh – Adrian Gonzalez homered to lead San Diego past Pittsburgh. Josh Bard had two RBIs, and former Pirate Brian Giles scored two runs for San Diego, which won for only the second time in 11 games.

Braves 8, Phillies 2

Philadelphia – Jair Jurrjens pitched eight scoreless innings, and Brian McCann hit two homers, including a grand slam, to lead Atlanta. Jurrjens (10-5) allowed three hits, struck out six and walked one.
