U.S. Bank employee earns volunteer award

U.S. Bank has awarded Terri Pippert a Five Star Volunteer Award as one of the bank’s top employee volunteers.

The award was given Thursday for Pippert’s longtime service on the Lawrence Advisory Board for Housing & Credit Counseling Inc. “Her dedication to the HCCI mission to help people resolve their financial difficulties with dignity is outstanding,” said Robert Baker, HCCI education coordinator.

Pippert is a business banking officer and the Kansas region vice president for U.S. Bank, Lawrence.

The Five Star Volunteer Award Program, launched in 2005 by U.S. Bank, honors the bank’s most exceptional employee volunteers. In addition to recognition as an outstanding volunteer, a $500 contribution will be made by U.S. Bank to the nonprofit organization of Pippert’s choice. She has chosen HCCI to receive this donation.

Pippert was selected from more than 230 nominations received by US Bank. “We are very proud of her accomplishments and commitment to the community through service to HCC,” said Bob Mackey, executive director.
