Consider adopting a cat this month

American Humane has christened June Adopt-a-Shelter-Cat Month. But any month is the ideal one for giving a home to a stray or unwanted kitty.
Independent cat rescuers are a breed apart: As feral cat colonies continue to grow, and a worsening economy and spiking foreclosures mean more abandoned animals, they are a fragile but crucial safety net.
The hardest cats to adopt are those with feline AIDS and/or leukemia. These cats can live full, long, healthy lives with the right care and precautions. Unfortunately, there is often a lot of misinformation.

I just found 7 kittens today. The mother was moving 5 of them, eyes newly opened from the alley across the street. I saw them in a pile and at first glance, I thought it was just a cat laying down, but they started squiggling around and there were 5 of them. I took them in and gave them milk-supp. for kitties and a good bath. After, I went looking for the mother and then found another momma cat with two more kittens that were about twice the size of the first five.
Does anyone want a kitty?
