Lawrence's annual July Fourth fireworks display will light up the sky about 10 tonight at Clinton Lake.
The show by the Lawrence Jaycees was moved this year from the Kansas River to Clinton Lake - at Sesquicentennial Point, just north of Eagle Bend Golf Course on the east side of the dam.
Sunflower Broadband Channel 6 will replay the fireworks display at midnight today. It will also be available on Video on Demand.
At the show, parking will be available only in specified locations and not on Clinton Dam. The field below Sesquicentennial Point will open at 8 p.m., and it's illegal to shoot off fireworks there - unless you're part of the Jaycees' crew.
Jaycees organizers expect the fireworks to be visible from Clinton Lake - even at Bloomington Beach - and surrounding neighborhoods, but the field is the only organized viewing location. Jaycees will shoot the fireworks from the north end of the dam on the east side.

Because we all know that watching the fireworks on camera is just as awesome as being there in real life.
