Lawrence High, Sr.
Basketball
What she did: Bird was the Lions leading scorer during their run to second place at the Capital City Classic in Topeka. Bird led LHS in scoring each night of the tournament and finished the three games with an average of 14.3 points-per-game. Bird currently is 13th in the Sunflower League in scoring, 4th in assists and 7th in rebounding.
Taylor Manning
Free State High, Jr.
Basketball
What she did: Behind a school-record eight assists in the opening round of the Firebird Winter Classic, Manning earned all-tourney honors and helped lead the Firebirds to fourth place at their home tournament. Manning was solid in all aspects of the game during the three-day event.
