Murder charges filed in pregnant woman’s shooting death

Suspect arrested in pipe-bombing

— Prosecutors in Leavenworth County today filed a murder charge against a 23-year-old Lansing man in the shooting death of a pregnant woman.

Sadale Fox, who was charged with one count of first-degree murder, will appear Friday morning in Leavenworth County District Court. He remains in jail on $1.5 million bond.

Fox is accused of shooting Olivia Jackson, 20, in the head on Tuesday at a mobile home in Lansing that she was visiting.

Also today, officials arrested a 21-year-old Farley, Mo., man on charges of conspiracy to commit murder in connection with a pipe-bombing incident on Jan. 11 at a Leavenworth house. Jackson and her sister were at that house at the time, but escaped unharmed. Prosecutors said they expected to file charges against the Missouri man on Friday.

death penalty, anyone?
what kind of first name is "Sadale," one of those thuggy made-up names? glad he's off the streets. was she pregnant with his child?

and, I note with sadness, only one murder charge. doesn't kansas have a "Lacey's law?" I assume the unborn baby was killed too! what's wrong with those leavenworth prosecutors?

Indeed, a baby can survive (with special care in a NICU) after as early as 24 weeks. At 37 weeks a pregnancy is considered full-term, so it seems that Olivia was in the home stretch. I am surprised by the lack of a second murder charge.

Also I wanted to note this is the SECOND time in a short span somebody tried to kill her. First with a pipe bomb, then by shooting. This suggests pre-meditation, hence the first-degree charge.

the prodeath/proabortion folks continue to stretch logic to the breaking point: "no different than a gaulbladder charge is all that is necessary." baby in womb is *geneticly distinct from the gaulbladder. gaulbladder can't survive outside the body. most of all, gaulbladder does not have the potential to become a unique walking talking breathing human. shows how vapid the proabortion people are getting now. many of them even support partial birth abortion, too, such as sHrillary.

ducky, yes, premeditation "with malice afore thought" seems obvious. death penalty anyone? and before the proabortion people say "how can you be prolife and favor the death penalty?" here's the answer: easy, that baby you want to kill in the mother's womb maybe for convenience or disability, is certainly innocent! Sadale fox is charged with premeditated killing of two lives, and should pay with his not so innocent life. life is so valuable that if you take it by planning and intention, you should forefeigt your life.

alexa's law protects by making it more risky to kill a pregnant mother than to kill a single person.

I bet that a second murder charge is filed.
