Gov. Kathleen Sebelius will name a new state attorney general Friday morning.
Sebelius will hold a news conference at 11 a.m.
Douglas County State District Court Judge Stephen Six has been mentioned as a possible choice.
Sebelius has kept a tight lid on her deliberations in finding a replacement for Attorney General Paul Morrison, who announced his resignation in the wake of a sex scandal.
Morrison has said he will leave office Jan. 31. He has acknowledged having an extramarital affair with Linda Carter, the former director of administration for the Johnson County District Attorney's Office. Before winning election in 2006, Morrison was the Johnson County district attorney and Carter's supervisor.
Carter has also accused Morrison of sexual harassment and professional misconduct. Morrison has denied those allegations.

Damn, I'm hoping for Kline. Right wing would go ballistic with joy. Really make Kansas look as backward as possible.

Apparently not a hot topic. After all, it's just the highest law enforcement person in the state. No big deal, we survived the last four winners just fine.

I only post to complain. Maybe I should broaden my scope. Six is a good choice.
