Kansas International celebrates 20 years

Kansas International is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and is asking supporters and others to join the organization’s leaders for breakfast.

The breakfast, which is set for 7:30 a.m. Jan. 25 at Alvamar Country Club, is considered the formal kickoff event for the organization’s yearlong celebration.

The event will include a panel discussion led by people who were instrumental in establishing Kansas International in 1988: Julie Love McCurdy, John Carlin and George Woodyard. Randi Tveitaraas Jack will serve as moderator.

Panelists will be expected to discuss the organization’s past and its prospects for the future, in encouraging business and other relationships on the international stage.

Cost is $15 for adults and $10 for students. To reserve a spot or for more information, contact Beth Johnson at bjohnson@lawrencechamber.com or 865-4425.
