University Bridge Club announces results of its Jan. 5 meeting. Hosts were Dan and Carolyn Harden with Roy and Wilma Cropp.
Blue winners Florence McNicoll, first; Bonnie Haney, second; Roy Cropp and Dan Harden, third; Darlene Schneider, fourth; and Al Smith, fifth.
Pink winners were Donna Riehm, first; Isabelle Schaake, second; Edna Galle, third; Rhetta Jo Noever, fourth; and Lois Liebert, fifth.

The Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club’s game was directed by Chris Lane on Jan. 2.
The North-South winners were Chuck Hedges and Chris Lane at first in A and B, with Paul Heitzman and David Piro at second in A. There was a tie for third in A between Eldon Herd and Shari Krentzel, with Ed Howard and Mona Bell. Florine Creek and Craig Huneke placed first in C.
The East-West winners were Virginia Seaver and Shirley Reese, followed by Catherine Blumenfeld and Grant Sutton at second in A but first in B and C. Virginia Johnston and Nita Scales placed third in A and second in B.

The Thursday Morning Mentor Bridge Club’s game was directed by Lester Dalton on Jan. 3.
First place was a tie between Chuck Hedges and Arkie Vaughn, with Donald Bush and Vince Nordberg. Adelaide Hanna and Chris Lane placed third, with Virginia Seaver and Virginia Hamilton in fourth place. Craig Huneke and Ann Thompson came in fifth place.

The Friday Afternoon Bridge Club’s game was directed by Virginia Seaver on Jan. 4. The North-South players were led by Ed Howard and John Fittell, followed by Clyde Romer and Kent McCullough. Bobby Patton and Elle Patton placed third in A and first in B and C, with Shirley Reese and Betty Collier in fourth place in A and second in B.
The East-West players were led by Ann Thompson and Catherine Blumenfeld at first in A, B and C, followed by Florine Creek and Gladys Baim at second in A, B and C. Jeane Landry and Jolene Andersen placed third in A, with Shari Krentzel and Judy Bevan at fourth in A, third in B and second in C.

The Sunday Afternoon Bridge Club’s game was directed by Eldon Herd on Jan. 6. First place went to Jerry Sloan and Bobby Patton, followed by Elle Patton and Adelaide Nyquist. Third place was a tie between Shari Krentzel and Mary Martz, with Jean Khatib and Marilyn Martin.

The Monday Evening Bridge Club’s game was directed by Virginia Seaver on Jan. 7.
The North-South winners were Clyde Romer and Steven Phelps at first in A and B, with Larry Bodle and Kent McCullough in second place.
Vince Nordberg and Jim Stewart placed third in A, second in B and first in C.
The East-West winners were Virginia Seaver and Chris Lane, followed by Jeane Landry and Grant Sutton. Eldon Herd and Jerry Sloan placed third in A.
