The son also rises: Steven Davis, son of Kansas University football and basketball announcer Bob Davis and wife Linda of Lawrence, was hired as the play-by-play voice of the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, Double A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals.

Davis spent the last two seasons calling games for the Royals’ rookie team in Idaho Falls.
