No. 6 Spartans survive

? East Lansing, Mich. – Reserve Kalin Lucas scored 16 points, and Travis Walton had his only four points in the final 22 seconds to help No. 6 Michigan State survive a scare from Purdue with a 78-75 victory Tuesday night.

The Spartans built a 16-point lead in the first half, then fell behind by five with 5:52 left. A 5-0 run over the final 1:47 gave Michigan State its 11th straight victory.

No. 7 Georgetown 76, DePaul 60

Rosemont, Ill. – Roy Hibbert had 17 points and 11 rebounds for Georgetown, which dominated from the start with its defense.

No. 10 Indiana 78, Michigan 64

Ann Arbor, Mich. – D.J. White scored 21 points and had a career-high 22 rebounds for Indiana, which won its ninth straight.

Freshman Eric Gordon had 23 points for the Hoosiers.

No. 15 Marquette 61, Seton Hall 56

Milwaukee – Dan Fitzgerald hit a key three-pointer in the closing seconds for Marquette.

Columbia, Mo. – DeMarre Carroll and Leo Lyons shrugged off a lackluster first half to help Missouri take over a game that was tied at halftime.

Baylor 72, Brown 62

Waco, Texas – LaceDarius Dunn scored a career-high 27 points and led Baylor past Brown, 72-62, on Tuesday night.

Kevin Rogers had 14, and Aaron Bruce scored 11 for Baylor.
