Scouring flea markets and yard sales for furniture is a smart way to find style, function and vintage personality at reasonable prices. But sometimes older pieces are accompanied by funky old smells, especially inside long-closed cupboards and drawers. If you find a piece in need of a fragrance refresher, here's a clever solution from the Washington Post: Set an uncovered bowl of baking soda inside for a few days. The soda will absorb the musty odors.
