Perry ? Perry-Lecompton’s boys basketball team notched its first sub-state victory in over a decade, blasting Hiawatha, 64-34, on Tuesday.

Kyle Morgison led Perry-Lecompton with 16 points, and Andy Bowman added 15.

The Kaws (19-2) hadn’t won in the postseason since 1996-97. They will play sub-state host Holton on Friday.

Baldwin 59, De Soto 58

Baldwin – Drew Berg scored 25 points, and Chad Kueffer scored 14 to lead the Bulldogs in a Class 4A game.

Baldwin will play Friday vs. Kansas City Ward in Spring Hill.
