No. 11 Oklahoma avenges loss to Oklahoma State

? Amanda Thompson had a career-high 23 points and 13 rebounds as No. 11 Oklahoma avenged a blowout loss, beating No. 16 Oklahoma State, 81-71, Saturday.

Courtney Paris, who finished with 18 points and 15 rebounds, recorded her 86th straight double-double before a sellout crowd. Ashley Paris added 14 rebounds for Oklahoma (20-5, 10-3 Big 12).

Andrea Riley scored 26 points for Oklahoma State (21-5, 9-4).

The Sooners lost, 82-63, in January when they played in Stillwater, but they led most of the way in the rematch. Oklahoma is looking for a third straight regular-season conference title.

Robinson helped Oklahoma win for the 18th time in its last 19 games against Oklahoma State. The 6-foot sophomore guard, left open for mid-range jumpers, finished 10-of-19 from the field and recorded her second career double-double.

Oklahoma led by as many as 11 points in the second half, but Oklahoma State cut that margin to 66-61 with 6:21 left after a three-pointer by the Cowgirls’ Danielle Green, who scored 19 points.

No. 9 Baylor 59, Iowa State 54

Ames, Iowa – Jessica Morrow scored 18 points, and Baylor rallied to beat Iowa State, snapping a two-game road losing streak. Angela Tisdale added 14 for the Bears, who finished the game on a 15-4 run.

Colorado 73, No. 15 Kansas State 68

Boulder, Colo. – Brittany Spears finished with 20 points, and Jackie McFarland scored 17 of her 19 in the second half, leading Colorado over Kansas State. The Wildcats (18-8, 10-3 Big 12) have lost two in a row.
