Cub Scout Pack 3462, chartered to Langston Hughes PTO, had its seventh annual Blue and Gold Banquet on Feb. 8 at First United Methodist Church’s west campus. Coordinators were Carla Saathoff and Jeanne Waisner.

Co-Cubmaster Cal DeWitt presided over the ceremonies. The opening flag ceremony was led by the Webelos II den. The closing flag ceremony was led by the Webelos I den.

Five Webelos II Scouts received their Arrow of Light Award, the highest achievement in Cub Scouting. They were Trevor Hughes, son of Dayna and Kevin Hughes; John Kihm, son of Tracy and Ted Kihm; Matt Pribbenow, son of Kathy and Glenn Pribbenow; Jon Saathoff, son of Carla and Shawn Saathoff; and Matthew Siler, son of Susan and Steve Siler.

In addition, the following Webelos II Scouts received the Super Achiever award for earning all of the 20 Webelos activity badges offered: Trevor Hughes, John Kihm, Matt Pribbenow and Jon Saathoff.

Several Webelos II Scouts participated in a bridging ceremony. Those Scouts and the troops they bridged to are John Kihm, Troop 55; Trevor Hughes, Matt Pribbenow, Jon Saathoff and Matthew Siler, Troop 53.

The following Cub scouts received badges: Luke Jacobs, Miles Kingsley, Camden Ruckman, Jarrod Saathoff and Tommy Warden, Tiger badge; Kyle Abrahamson, Hunter Brown, Robert Deitz, Max Denny, Calvin DeWitt, Michael Gard, Harrison Hughes, Carson Juhl, Christopher Pendry, Ethan Perrins, Thomas White and Adam Ziegler, Wolf badge; William Barteldes, Will Bolden, Michael Braman, Sam Hambleton, Holt Hofteizer, Finn Nesbitt-Daly, Hayden Ponzer, Jake Purcell, Sean Riling, Collin Ruckman, Justin Siler and Josh Waisner, Bear badge; and Joseph Cary, Tristan Delnevo, Zach Denny, Andrew Hahn, Steele Jacobs, Conner Rainey, Carter Ruckman, Andrew Solcher, Christopher Toalson and Carson Ziegler, Webelos badge.

Cub Scouts Joseph Cary, Matt Pribbenow and Steele Jacobs received special religious recognition awards.

Kathy and Glenn Pribbenow, who were departing the pack, were recognized for their contributions. Kathy has served as a den leader and Glenn coordinated the pack’s annual Pinewood Derby for several years.

¢Members of Boy Scout Troop 64, chartered to the Eudora Lions Club, and Cub Scout Pack 3064, chartered to Eudora United Methodist Church, took part in Scout Sunday services Feb. 10 at Eudora United Methodist Church.

Scouts served as greeters and ushers. They also had a display showing past and present Scouting activities in Eudora.

Those who participated were Cubs Ronnie Middleton, Justen Unrein and Kolten Unrein; Scouts Tom Stanley, Devon Middleton, and Steven Wimmer; and adult leaders Tim Middleton, Troy Unrein, Roy Lytle, Jim Morrison, John Scott, Amye Scott, Ann Wimmer and Roy Wimmer. Former Scoutmasters Pete Lawson and James Guy were present.
