Lawrence film critic Eric Melin won $25,000 in his appearance on "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire," which ended Tuesday after he answered a question incorrectly.
Melin misfired on a $100,000 question about which literary adaptation was not a Merchant Ivory production. The options were "The Wings of the Dove," "Maurice," "Surviving Picasso," and "The Golden Bowl." The correct answer was "The Wings of the Dove."
Melin this week took part in Netflix Million Dollar Movie Week on "Millionaire."
A 2007 Kansas University film school graduate, he is the founder of Scene-Stealers.com and a film critic for lawrence.com. The 36-year-old appeared on the VH1 program "The World Series of Pop Culture" last summer.
