KU signee tapped for all-star game

Kansas University signee Angel Goodrich is one of 20 high school basketball players selected to participate in the WBCA All-America Game on April 5 in Tampa, Fla.

A 5-foot-3 guard from Tahlequah, Okla., Goodrich has led her team to three straight Oklahoma Class 3A state championships. She was named Oklahoma’s Gatorade Player of the Year after her junior season.

Goodrich is the sixth KU player to be selected for the WBCA all-star game since its creation in 1992. The others are Charisse Sampson (1992), Tamecka Dixon (1993), Erinn Reed (1993), Lynn Pride (1996) and Lauren Ervin (2003).
