Cosby found guilty of first-degree murder in Lawrence
For the second time in three years, a Douglas County jury convicted Lafayette Cosby of first-degree murder in the 2004 shooting death of Robert Martin, 28.
Jurors reached a verdict after four hours of deliberation today.
Late last year, the Kansas Supreme Court overturned a November 2004 conviction and granted Cosby a new trial after he spent time in prison.
But jurors again reached the same decision finding Cosby, 28, guilty of first-degree murder for shooting and killing Martin at a late-night party at a south Lawrence apartment complex.
Cosby will be sentenced Monday.
