Under-nourished Mother

My try at wise, loving, taking-care, of our four
precious young daughters,
when I was young myself,
was nearly without feedback.
Was I doing right by these treasured little girls?

Then, a pretty checkout lady at Safeway said,
“I’ve noticed how kind you are to your little
daughters while you are here shopping. You treat them
with respect.”
I was filled with gratitude.
