The League of Women Voters of Lawrence-Douglas County is seeking nominations for the eighth annual recipient of the Helen Fluker Open and Accessible Government Award. The winner will be announced during the first week of March, and a dinner will be held in his or her honor later that month.

The nominee should be a Douglas County resident older than 18 whose efforts may have promoted improvement in government.
