Postage rates

To the editor:

OK, America. Are you still slumbering and apathetic out there? Are you going to accept another increase in the cost of postage stamps in less than a year? I can’t get by with telling the postmaster, in this medium, what he can do with his proposed increase, but I think we all should write to John E. Potter, the U.S. postmaster general, to voice our disgust.

A suggestion for saving money and thereby sparing us these postage increases would be NOT to offer such a variety of stamps. Do you have other ideas?

If we continue to be targeted, why can’t we expect better service as a result? I have yet to go to the 31st Street station and not have to stand in a long line for assistance. There are spaces for three employees. Rarely is more than one in attendance, no matter the hour.
