A Douglas County resident was killed Tuesday in a single-vehicle accident on E. 1900 Road.
The driver was southbound in the area of 970 E. 1900 Road shortly before 4:30 p.m. when the accident occurred, said Lt. Kari Wempe of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. The driver lost control of the vehicle, and the vehicle struck a culvert, overturned and landed on its top, killing the driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene, Wempe said. She said the driver's name would be released pending notification of next of kin.
The cause of the accident is under investigation, Wempe said.

Well, I know they have not released the name of the victim, but I was acquainted with her and am quite saddened. She was a wonderful lady and will be missed. Her son and daughter-in-law are friends of mine.
God bless - I am praying for her and her family.
