Afghanistan ? A suicide car bomber blew himself up near a convoy of Afghan troops Friday, killing one soldier and a child who were nearby.

Another four soldiers and a child were also wounded in the attack in central Ghazni province, provincial Gov. Faizullah Faizan said.

A suicide car bomb targeting a NATO convoy left three soldiers lightly wounded in eastern Khost province Thursday, and a bungled suicide attack hurt two civilians in southwestern Nimroz province.
