From the Lawrence Daily World for Feb. 8, 1908: “Kansas defeated Missouri 24-18 in basketball for the second straight night. Coach Allen’s team edged the Missourians 21-20 the night before and there were large crowds at Robinson Gymnasium for both games. : Dr. William Herbert Carruth, head of the German department and vice chancellor of Kansas University, has returned for the spring semester and has many great stories to tell about his recent six months of travel in Germany.”
